How Telemedicine Works in Cliniq Flo

A deep dive into every capability — built specifically for Indian clinic workflows.

Step 1

One-Click Video Consultation

Start a video consultation directly from the Cliniq Flo appointment screen. Patients receive a WhatsApp link — they click it and join the call in their browser without downloading any app.

The doctor sees the patient's full medical history in a side panel during the call — previous diagnoses, current medications, and pending investigations — exactly as in a physical consultation.

Step 2

Prescription During the Call

Prescribe during the video call without switching screens. The prescription is generated in real time and sent to the patient via WhatsApp before the call even ends. The prescription appears in the patient's permanent record automatically.

Step 3

UPI Payment Before or After Consultation

Collect consultation fees via UPI at the time of booking or at the start of the call. Cliniq Flo generates a payment link that the patient pays via any UPI app — BHIM, GPay, PhonePe, Paytm — and the payment is reconciled automatically in the billing module.

Step 4

MoHFW Telemedicine Guidelines Compliant

Cliniq Flo's telemedicine module follows all Ministry of Health and Family Welfare guidelines — including patient identification, consent recording, restriction on first-time Schedule H prescriptions, and consultation documentation requirements.

Key Benefits

Everything Telemedicine does for your clinic — at a glance.

No App Download for Patients

Patients join the video call from a WhatsApp link — no app download, no account creation. Works on any smartphone.

Medical History During Call

Full patient history is visible in a side panel during the video call — past visits, medications, and reports.

Prescription While on Call

Generate and send the prescription via WhatsApp without ending the consultation — the patient receives it instantly.

UPI Fee Collection

Send a UPI payment link to the patient at the start of the call — collections are reconciled automatically.

Consent Recording

Patient consent for the telemedicine consultation is recorded digitally at the start of every call — MoHFW compliant.

Call Recording Option

With patient consent, calls can be recorded and stored in the patient record for medico-legal documentation.

Works for Your Specialty

See how different clinic types use Telemedicine in their day-to-day practice.

General Physician

A GP uses Cliniq Flo telemedicine for follow-up consultations — patients with stable chronic conditions who only need prescription renewals book a 10-minute video call instead of visiting the clinic.

Psychiatry

Psychiatrists use telemedicine for patients who prefer the privacy and convenience of consulting from home — particularly useful for anxiety and depression patients who find clinic visits difficult.

Dermatology

Dermatologists conduct initial consultations via video — patients share photos of their skin condition in advance and the doctor reviews them before the call.

Diabetology

Diabetologists use telemedicine for quarterly review consultations — patients share their home glucose log before the call and the doctor adjusts medications during the video consultation.

Telemedicine — Frequently Asked Questions

Is telemedicine legal in India?

Yes. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare published the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines in 2020 which make video and telephone consultations legal for registered medical practitioners. Cliniq Flo's telemedicine module is designed to comply with these guidelines.

What internet speed is required for a smooth video call?

A 1 Mbps connection is sufficient for HD video on both sides. Cliniq Flo automatically adjusts video quality based on available bandwidth to maintain call stability.

Can I conduct group or family consultations?

Yes. Up to 4 participants can join a Cliniq Flo video call — useful for consultations where a caregiver or family member needs to be present.

How is telemedicine billing handled in GST terms?

Telemedicine consultation fees follow the same GST exemption as physical consultations — they are exempt from GST as healthcare services. Cliniq Flo generates the appropriate bill of supply.
